Horn Museum

The Horn Museum is closed for the summer. We will reopen on August 26th, 2024 for the Fall Semester.

The Siegfried H. Horn Museum, part of the Institute of Archaeology at Andrews University, has reopened. We are open to the public on Saturdays from 3:00-5:00 pm when the university is in session (closed during Summer and Winter breaks). Our exhibits can also be viewed by appointment only during normal Institute office hours (9:00 am-5:00 pm Mon-Thur, and 9:00 am-noon Fri). To set up an appointment, please email horncurator@andrews.edu or call 269-471-6180.

We house over 8,500 ancient Near-Eastern artifacts, including coins, pottery, sculptures, tools, weapons, figurines, jewelry, seals, and glass vessels. The museum also sponsors a lecture series and houses over 3,000 ancient cuneiform tablets from Sumerian times through the Achaemenid period. Read about our history.
